This was the second home we designed for this client, providing architectural interventions as well as interior design services. We also designed the garden spaces at front and rear of the house.

The 19th century building was in relatively good condition but had lain empty for several years. The lower ground floor plan was reconfigured and services upgraded. The granite hearth in the family room was exposed and a wood burning stove installed. We designed joinery and made alterations to the bathrooms.

We created different atmospheres on its three levels. The lower ground floor is casual and uses light materials, the hall floor is polished with period colours and the first floor bedrooms are intimate with features such as a half canopy over the Master bed. Much of the furniture was designed for the home including a brass table in the Entrance Hall and upholstery pieces in the Drawing Room.
