For this apartment in a former Victorian house, we designed a pied-à-terre for a client living abroad, blending the luxury of a five-star hotel with the comfort of a home. The living room, originally part of the house’s ballroom, was restored to its former glory, with the intricate ceiling reinstated after being lowered during the conversion to apartments.
We stripped the apartment back to its shell, reconfiguring the layout and positioning the kitchen behind a freestanding block that houses essential services, a utility area, laundry, and guest bathroom. The decor focuses on harmony and subtlety, using a restrained colour palette brought to life through art, vintage lighting, and carefully chosen furniture.
